May 2019 Multi-Room floor Tiling in Dore Village.
After first carrying out a repair to a large crack in the screed, an anti fracture membrane was fitted to deal with any expansion and contraction of the floor. The choice of tiles works great in this space, reflecting all the natural light coming in. Epoxy resin grout was used for a stain proof finish.

Covering over 45sq m, this Multi-Room tiling with large format stone effect porcelain really brought together new and old rooms. Prepared with cement board throughout and finished with stain proof epoxy grout .
April 2019 Barn Conversion floor Tiling in Ringinglow, Sheffield
Prior to a new kitchen being fitted, this lovely 17th century barn conversion in S11 was given given a 21st century update in the form of a dual zone 200w underfloor heating Installation. The floor was then screeded ready for the 800 X 400 stone effect porcelain tiles which were fitted in a random layout for a more natural finish and scribed into the stone walls throughout.

October 2018 Opus Pattern limestone floor tiling with underfloor heating in Chesterfield.
This timeless 4 tile pattern looks great in any setting, and this project is no exception. This beautiful Limestone was fitted along side a full primary heat source underfloor heating installation over 3 zones, all controlled via WiFi thermostats. Finished with a light grout for a contemporary feel.
August 2018 Terracotta floor extended in Beeley.
Following on from earlier in the year, this handmade terracotta was taken through into the kitchen and utility room, finished again with traditional methods, and a little cats paw print to add to the charm!
September 2018 45° porcelain plank floor tiing with underfloor heating in Chesterfield.
After extensive levelling and insulating, this 35sq m kitchen floor was fitted with a Pro Warm 185w Underfloor heating and uncoupling system, over 2 zones both independently controlled. With the room being long and thin it was decided to lay the planks at 45° to make more of a feature of the floor. The tiles were finished with Kerakoll fugalite bio parquet epoxy grout, perfect for wood effect tiles and 100% stain and water proof.
July 2018 Failed Anhydrite floor tiling in Chesterfield.
This 90sq m floor in Wingerworth, Derbyshire was tiled over 18 months ago but almost straight away the tiles came loose due to a number of issues. The floor was in terrible shape and required extensive preparation in the form of dust extracted diamond grinding, levelling to several areas and large cracks resin filled. An uncoupling membrane was fitted and the floor tiled with 600x600 rectified porcelain from waxmans with the subtle grain flowing in one direction.
June 2018 Glass link room at the old vicarage in Barlow, Derbyshire.
Linking the main listed building to an out building is this newly built glass link room. The floor was a chemfloor heated screed which are becoming increasingly popular in new extensions. The correct preparation methods were carried out and an uncoupling membrane fitted prior to Tiling with wood effect porcelain planks.
May 2018 Porcelanosa bathroom tiling in Wirksworth, Derbyshire .
This is the first room of several to be completed over the coming months using Porcelanosa soul frost rectified porcelain tiles, with a subtle marble effect vein. Aligning all wall and floor joints and keeping the grain all flowing in one direction made for a lovely finish.
March 2018 Failed anyhydrite screed re-tile in Ashgate, Chesterfield.
This gypsum screed was tiled over 18 month ago by somebody who didnt know how to deal with these screeds, resulting in the tiles coming loose shortly after. We removed the surface contamination and weak laitance layer using dustless diamond floor grinding equipment and re tiled with Imola Italian porcelain.
Febuary 2018 Victorian floor light restoration in Rowsley, Derbyshire.
To give these original Victorian floor tiles a freshen up, all old sealers were first stripped back followed by a deep clean then finally after 7 days drying time, re sealed to protect from staining and make cleaning very easy for the next 100 years.

heavily textured porcelain feature tile, in two shades of grey, finished with matte black powder coated trims and short plank tiles on the floor.
January 2018 mixed stone mosaic wet room in Sheffield
This project was for a good customer who wanted to create a beautiful wetroom and living space in a converted barn at there property close to the Peak District. The room was insulated top to bottom before fitting electric underfloor heating and extensive waterproofing in the wet areas. The tiles are a combination of high quality porcelain and mixed stone mosaic which were hand profiled and polished on site.
November 2017 Travertine Mosaic - Totley Sheffield
This tiling project is an update to an already tiled bathroom which was in need of a face lift in the form of a bespoke made sink unit and bath surround. All the mosaic and the floor tiles are natural stone, travetine which can be quite chalky in appearence. A coat of colour enhancing sealer brought the colours out permenantly whilst protecting against any staining.

This week started off a bit different to most, with a trip to Schluter's education centre in Leicester to attend there hands on 2 day wetroom applications training and to find out more about there range of premium innovative products. Anyone for heated walls?

Matte grey glass mosaics from Topps Tiles in Chesterfield fitted in this ensuite shower enclosure. Finished with Mid Grey anti mould grout and matching silicone by Tilemaster.
July 2017 Warmup DCM PRO underfloor heating in Sheffield
Warmup DCM Pro is the latest product from the market leaders in underfloor heating. Combining uncoupling and the heating element in one self adhesive package which is very fast to install compared to other systems. We first removed the old flooring and insulated the floor before fitting the Warmup heating and finally completing the tiling using very high quality 600x600 Lappato porcelain tiles keeping the subtle grain of the tile flowing in one direction for a cleaner look.
June 2017 Reclaimed brick slips Sheffield
17th century Reclaimed brick slips in Derbyshire. Sourced from a local building which was demolished in Chesterfield, these bricks were machined into brick slips to allow them to live again in the form of this lovely fireplace. With the heat output from a wood burning stove, it was important to first board the area with a fire rated cement board.
May 2017 Slate Floor tiles Derbyshire.
This job was for a regular customer in Rowsley, Derbyshire with a new stone built extension in keeping with the surroundings.
A natural stone tile was always the right choice for this floor and in the end they went with a 600x600 slate tile which was reasonably calibrated and beautifully smooth. With no other source of heating in this 40sq meter room, the underfloor heating is a primary heat source.
Finished off with a metro tile splashback, what a transformation.

March 2017 porcelain plank tiles Chesterfield
This extension in Chesterfield was built with a water underfloor heating system under a gypsum based screed which are becoming increasingly popular in domestic builds. After around 18 months and many moisture tests the screed was finally dry enough for tiling. The surface laitence was removed and we fitted wood effect porcelain planks, finished with chocolate colour grout. We also carried out the same job on the neighbours house who had the same extension at the same time.
